WILLIAM MICHAEL “MIKE” WILDER

WILLIAM MICHAEL “MIKE” WILDER of Perryville, KY died June 4, 2022 at the age of 75. In 1970, he began working for Coyle Funeral Home in Perryville, which he later purchased. He and his wife, JoNell, operated Wilder Funeral Home and Monument Company for 44 years as well as Wilder’s Flower Basket and Wilder Insurance Agency. Wilder served on the Kentucky Mass Fatality team for the Boyle County Deputy Coroner for 40 years. In 2008, he was appointed executive director of the medical examiner’s office in Frankfort and served until 2011. A graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, he was a former member of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association, chairman of the Perryville Cemetery Association and served the Kentucky Coroners Association as executive secretary for 25 years.
