WILLIAM PENN TROY

WILLIAM PENN TROY SR of Mullins, SC died August 15, 2020 at the age of 76. He served his apprenticeship with Foxworth Funeral Home in Mullins before establishing Troy's Funeral Home. In 1988 he expanded his services to Loris, SC where he opened the doors to Legette-Troy's Funeral Home. Troy held a funeral directors license in North and South Carolina and was Governor of the South Carolina Morticians Association, Inc in District 6. A graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, he served multiple terms as president, secretary and treasurer of the South Carolina Board of Funeral Service and was a mentor to aspiring funeral directors.
