WILLIAM FRANCIS BOYD

WILLIAM FRANCIS BOYD SR of Cleveland, OH died December 7, 2014 at the age of 99. Chairman of the Board at E. F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home and Crematory, he was one of the longest serving funeral directors in the country. After graduating from the Cleveland College of Embalming in 1938, he became the "Son" in his father's funeral home. Boyd expanded the business adding funeral homes in East Cleveland and Warrensville Heights. In honor of his community service, the city of Cleveland renamed a stretch of E. 89th St in front of the funeral home, William Boyd Sr. Way.
