W.E. CHAMBERLAIN

GREG W.E. CHAMBERLAIN of Oregon, MO died October 7, 2016 at the age of 87. In 1996, he and his wife, Betty established the Chamberlain Funeral Home & Monuments in Rock Port. They purchased a funeral home in Oregon, MO in 1986 and added Mount City in 1995. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1996 and took yearly continuing education courses at Iowa Western College while continuing to work as a licensed funeral director until he was 85. He served as president of the Missouri Funeral Directors Association in 1992-1993 and was a multi-year state officer. Chamberlain was a longtime member of the MFDA Board of Directors and served on its Emergency Preparedness, Education and Legislation committees. He also served as chairman of the National Funeral Directors Association and Education Committee for 1991-1992 and the Missouri representative to the NFDA policy board in 1992-1992 and 1994-1995.
