VIRGINIA A. "GINNY" BLAIR

VIRGINIA A. "GINNY" BLAIR of Evanston, IL died March 30, 2012 at the age of 86. She worked with Smith Bucklin & Associates as head of the public relations department for more than 20 years, and worked with several associations including the Cremation Association of North America. After retiring from the firm in the mid 1990s, she continued to work for the association. She was the namesake of CANA's "Ginny" award for best advertising or public relations campaign and served on the awards committee. She wrote the consumer brochures and led numerous initiatives as the public relations director of CANA from 1982 until retiring in August of 2007.
