VIRGIL L. HOWARD

VIRGIL L. HOWARD of Olean, NY, formerly of Shin-glehouse, PA died November 16, 2014 at the age of 92. He along with his wife Bette, owned and operated the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home in Shinglehouse, PA, having taken over from his father-in-law, Howard Morton, who had owned and operated the former Morton Funeral Home in Shinglehouse. They retired on June 1, 1984, when Kevin and Patricia Dusenbury purchased the funeral home which continues to operate in Shinglehouse. A 1948 graduate of Cleveland College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the former Tioga-Potter Funeral Di-rectors Association.
