VERNON ARTHUR “J” MITCHELL JR of Kilgore, TX died January 19, 2024 at the age of 64. He was a funeral director at Radar Funeral Home for over 30 years. A graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, he served on the board of directors for the East Texas Funeral Directors Association (president from 1991-1992), Texas Funeral Directors Association and was an active member of the Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
