TIMOTHY R. BARNES

TIMOTHY R. BARNES of Albany, OH died August 18, 2024 at the age of 82. A retired funeral director and embalmer, he joined Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, OH as an assistant manager. In 1985 Barnes moved to the medical science field at Ohio University (OU) where he served for 18 years as the director of the Willed Body Program, Anatomical Embalmer and educator in the Anatomy Laboratory at OU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. Tim also initiated the establishment of the Anatomy Lab at Marietta College. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Barnes was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and served on the advisory board for the Ohio Embalmers Association.
