THOMAS “TOM” ZUBER BARR

THOMAS “TOM” ZUBER BARR of Fort Madison, IA died April 11, 2023 at the age of 65. A funeral director and embalmer for forty-three years, he began his career in Texas and worked in Boston, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati before returning to Iowa to join the family business, Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison. He and his wife, Deanna later opened a second location in West Point, Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home. They owned and operated both locations for more than twenty-five years. Barr graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1980.
