ROBERT D. PATE

ROBERT D. PATE of Saco, ME died April19, 2025 at the age of 93. A licensed funeral director, he served his apprenticeship with the Davis Funeral Home in Rockland before moving his family to the Dunstan area of Scarborough, where he ran a livery business that served funeral homes throughout York and Cumberland Counties. In 1968, Pate purchased the Dennett and Craig Funeral Home in Saco and added an additional funeral home in Buxton in 1985, creating Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Homes. A graduate of the Dodge School of Embalming in Boston, he was a lifetime member of the Maine Funeral Directors Association.
