ROBERT S HARPER

ROBERT S. HARPER JR of Kalamazoo, MI died December 6, 2021 at the age of 85. He became the youngest licensed funeral director with House of Diggs at the age of twenty-five. Harper worked for the firm for two years before joining the staff at Charles T. Cole Funeral Home in Detroit. He relocated to Kalamazoo in 1969 to open Harper Funeral Home, which he owned and operated. A graduate of the Eckels College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association.
