ROBERT "BOB" BROTHERS

ROBERT "BOB" BROTHERS of Maysville, KY died July 18, 2013 at the age of 73. In 1975, he established Brothers Funeral Home. In 1980, he merged it with Albert and Billy Knox, forming the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home, which joined the Keystone Group of Funeral Homes in 1997 and is now currently owned by Service Corporation International since 2010. He served as manager, his wife, Vicki served as office manager and David Lawrence served as the funeral director and embalmer. He served as the Mason County Coroner since 1999 and had previously served as coroner in the early 1960's. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, Kentucky State Coroner's Association where he earned the title of "master coroner." Last month, he received his 50 year pin as funeral director and embalmer at the FDAK's Convention held in Louisville. He was a graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science.
