ROBERT “BOB” VERNON ALLEN of Bridgeport, WV died November 19, 2022 at the age of 86. A retired funeral director, he was the former owner of the Allen Funeral Home in Bridgeport for thirty-eight years. Allen sold the business in 1999. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he served as the executive secretary of the West Virginia Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors for several years.
