RICHARD DEAN "DICK" SCHWARTZ

RICHARD DEAN "DICK" SCHWARTZ of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Parkersburg, IA died October 21, 2018 at the age of 78. A licensed funeral director, he served his apprenticeship at the White Funeral Home in Independence, IA and then worked for Parrott & Wood Funeral Home in Waterloo. In 1975, he and his wife, Linda purchased Redmond-Schwattz Funeral Home in Aplington and Parkersburg. He continued to own and operate the funeral home until his retirement in 2001. A graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association.
