RICHARD LACERENZA

RICHARD LACERENZA of Stamford, CT died March 2, 2015 at the age of 84. He was a second generation funeral director at Lacerenza Funeral Home, which his father, Anthony opened in 1926. The firm operated as a funeral home and a house until it was fully rebuilt as a funeral facility in the 1960s. He acquired ownership of the firm after his father passed in 1949. In the 1950s, he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War, and his uncle, Jimmy Lacerenza, ran the business until he returned. He continued to serve Fairfield County for 65 years.
