RICHARD J GALANTE

RICHARD J. GALANTE JR of Union, NJ died May 19, 2021 at the age of 69. He worked with his family as a third-generation funeral director for the Galante Funeral Home in Union his entire life. Galante Jr graduated with a degree in mortuary science from the University of Minnesota in 1973 and was appointed the president of the State Board of Mortuary Science by former governor Jim McGreevy. He was a member of the New jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the Essex, Union and West Hudson Funeral Directors Association, which he served as president from 1997-1998.
