RICHARD EMIL DANIELS

RICHARD EMIL DANIELS of Burlington, WI died May 29, 2020 at the age of 92. A Wisconsin funeral director and embalmer, he worked with John Schuette at the Schuette Funeral Home in 1948 before becoming a partner in the Schuette, Werth and Daniels Funeral Home in 1954. In 1975, Daniels and his wife, Doris purchased the business and in 1991 a new funeral home was built at its current location on Browns Lake Drive. In 1996, the McCarthy Koenig Funeral Home was purchased and consolidated into the Schuette-Daniels location in 1997. In 1994 the Polnasek Funeral Home in Union Grove was purchased and became Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. In 2008, Daniels retired from the funeral homes and Browns Lake Crematory. A 1952 graduate of the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science, he served four terms on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and served as secretary/treasurer for one term each.
