REVEREND MONSIGNOR JOHN W. "JACK" DALTON of Naperville, IL died January 7, 2019 at the age of 95. He was a longtime Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Dubuque, IA.
Following three years of association with the Catholic Cemeteries of Chicago, he began his studies for the priesthood at Loras College in Dubuque. He was ordained as a priest on February 1, 1958 and named an Honorary Prelate on July 30, 1987. In 1989, he was appointed national director of Catholic Cemeteries, an appointment he served until his retirement in 1993. In 1991 and 1992, he served as president of the National Catholic Cemetery Conference.
