PHILIP L. GILLETTE

PHILIP L. GILLETTE of Evanston, IL died July 15, 2025 at the age of 86. He performed clerical and janitorial duties at The House of Thompson Mortuary before working alongside owner, John H. Thompson, as a funeral director and embalmer. Upon Thompson’s death in 1999, Gillette acquired ownership of the firm and renamed it Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc in 2018. He continued operating it until his passing. Gillette graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science.
