PETER P. HORVATH

PETER P. HORVATH of Sussex, NJ died November 28, 2015 at the age of 76. In 1974, he purchased the Pinkel Funeral Home in Sussex and continued to operate it for the past 31 years as a licensed Pennsylvania and New Jersey funeral director. He also owned the Horvath Funeral Service of Passaic and the Horvath Funeral Home in Clinton. A graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, he was a former member of the New Jersey State Board of Mortuary Science, where he served as secretary and on the Consumer Affairs Department. He was president of the Bergen County Funeral Director Association, Tri-County Funeral Directors Association and the Pre-Paid Funeral Trust Fund. He was a member of the New Jersey Service Education Corporation and served on the advisory board of Mount Ida College for Mortuary Science.
