PETER H. GERS

PETER H. GERS of Ambler, PA, formerly of Olney, PA died May 30, 2015 at the age of 94. He was an active funeral director for 70 years, establishing the Peter H. Gers Funeral Home in the Olney section of Philadelphia in 1947. He then moved to 5th Street and Cheltenham Avenue in 1953. In 1989, he sold the firm and moved to Ambler, where he continued to serve families and maintain his license at the Ashton B. Urban Funeral Home. A graduate of the Doland Embalming School in Philadelphia, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
