PAUL R. YOUNG

PAUL R. YOUNG, SR. of Cincinnati, OH died March 18, 2013 at the age of 91. In 1948, he estab-lished the Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy. He later added funeral homes in Hamilton and Oxford with the help of his wife, Marian and career-long assistant, Nola Apro. He served as president and owner of the firm until his passing. He was well known throughout the Tri-State area as the creator of the Nativity scenes displayed at his funeral homes as a Christmas tradition since 1948. He was president of the Cincinnati Funeral Directors Association in 1949 and continued to be a member. He was also a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Director Association. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
