NELSON E. GREENE JR

NELSON E. GREENE JR of Alexandria, VA died March 14, 2022 at the age of 79. A licensed Virginia funeral director, he held courtesy cards in Maryland and the District of Columbia and was a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner. Nelson was the owner, president and manager of record for the Green Funeral Home, Inc. A graduate of the John Tyler Community College, he previously served as an adjunct professor in the mortuary science program at the University of the District of Columbia and served as national president of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity. He also served as district governor of National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, on the Scholarship Committee as president of Virginia Morticians Association, as well as chairman of the board. Nelson was a founding member of Northern Virginia District of the Virginia Morticians Association and was a member of the American Society of Embalmers.
