MICHAEL “MIKE” ASSALLEY

MICHAEL “MIKE” ASSALLEY of Taylorville, IL died January 11, 2024 at the age if 38. He started his career working for Butler Funeral Homes in Springfield, IL as a school intern, licensed funeral director apprentice, and then as a licensed funeral director. In May 2017, Mike acquired four funeral homes from Perfetti Funeral Homes, Inc (Taylorville, Morrisonville, Sorento, and Panama, IL locations), and in July 2021, he acquired Young Funeral Home in Greenville, IL (his fifth funeral home) and operated them as Assalley Funeral Homes. Mike graduated with honors from the Carl Sandburg College of Mortuary Science in 2014.
