MICHAEL J. AMBRUSO

MICHAEL J. AMBRUSO of Dover, DE died September 19, 2024 at the age of 81. He co-founded Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc with Joy Ambruso in 1969.  During his career of more than 50 years, Ambruso served as contractor for the Dover AFB Mortuary Affairs from 1974-1977 and was selected by KLM and Pan Am to handle the largest dis-aster in aviation history to date (Canary Island, Tenerife, Spain). A 1963 graduate of the Eckels College of Mortuary Science, he served as president of the Delaware State Funeral Directors Association from 1975-1977.
