MARION WILBUR DOLLAR

MARION WILBUR DOLLAR of Atlanta, GA died March 4, 2013 at the age of 78. He established Dollar Funeral Home in 1973. In 1957, he moved to South Florida and started his career with the Oscar L. Range Funeral Home in Miami, FL. In 1959, he moved back to Georgia and worked for Banks Funeral Home for several years. During that time, he became a fully certified funeral director. He spent nearly 50 years in the funeral industry before retiring in 2005. He served as a mentor, advisor and counselor to students attending the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He graduated from the Atlanta College of Mortuary Science in 1957.
