LOWELL PUGH

LOWELL PUGH of Golden City, MO died August 12, 2019 at the age of 87. A funeral director for 66 years, he joined his great-uncle Enoch Phillips and his parents, Harold Franklin Pugh and Hazel Wanda Thomas Pugh at their family's business, Pugh Funeral Home. In 1991, Pugh began publication of The Dead Beat-The Caregivers Soapbox and co-authored a continuing education course on grief resolution for co-workers. A 1952 graduate of the St. Louis College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Missouri Funeral Directors Association and the Texas Funeral Directors Association.
