LOUIS CRESPO

LOUIS CRESPO of Friendswood, TX died September 6, 2024 at the age of 85. A second-generation funeral director, he was credited for developing protocol recognized as the standard by the funeral service industry in the international shipment of human remains. A 1961 graduate of the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, he served on the board of directors for the International Funeral Association, and the Texas Golf Association of Morticians and Salesmen; was past president of the Houston Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association and the Southeast Texas Funeral Directors Association, which presented him with the Funeral Director of the Year award. Crespo also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Funeral Directors Association in 2015.
