JOHN SINCLAIR STUMP

JOHN SINCLAIR STUMP of Grantsville, WV died July 31, 2018 at the age of 77. He began working at Stump Funeral Home as a 9 year old boy and answering ambulance calls at the age of 16. He served over 60 years in the funeral profession as a fourth generation funeral director and embalmer, following his father, Charles "Bunk" Stump, his grandfather, Ira N. Stump and his great grandmother, Martha E. Bennett Stump, who founded the business. A 1962 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he served on the West Virginia Board of Funeral Service Examiners for several years.
