JOHN P. "SONNY" COX

JOHN P. "SONNY" COX of Charleston, WV died January 12, 2019 at the age of 88. A licensed funeral director for sixty-nine years, he was the owner and operator of Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home. In 1955, he received the Charles E. Dodd Award for Outstanding Funeral Director of the Year. Cox was a member of the National Selected Morticians Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association, where he also served as president of the associations Golf Tournaments.
