JOE NOLAN

JOE NOLAN of Colorado Springs, CO died July 15, 2011 at the age of 78. He was a longtime Colorado Springs funeral director, certified mortuary service practitioner, certified international funeral director and embalmer and co-owner of the Nolan Funeral Home. In 1955, he joined his families firm as a second generation funeral director, purchasing it in 1975. He served as the Evergreen and Fairview Cemeteries Historian. He was past president of the Southern Colorado Funeral Directors Association for 8 years, served on the board of the Colorado Funeral Directors Association and was awarded funeral director of the year for 3 years.
