JERRY BENNETT

JERRY BENNETT of Benton, KY died December 10, 2020 at the age of 82. He served his apprentice-ship at O'Neil Funeral Home in Corbin before joining the Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director. In the early 1970s, Jerry and his wife, Mary along with Neal Tolbert and his wife, Elizabeth, became partners together and shared ownership of Filbeck-Cann. After almost thirty years of dedication to the funeral profession, Jerry and his wife be-came sole owners. A 1960 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, he served as the coroner of Marshall County, president of the West Kentucky Funeral Directors Association and was a member of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Burial Association Board.
