JAMES MAX STRICKLAND

JAMES MAX STRICKLAND of Sylvania, GA died September 26, 2022 at the age of 73. He began working for Hall Funeral Home in Royston, GA at the age of fifteen and later served several funeral homes throughout the Atlanta, GA area. Strickland and Ronnie Waters opened Thompson-Strickland Waters Funeral Home in 1981. He remained a funeral director and manager of the business after it was sold in 1992. A Screven County coroner from 1990-2022, he graduated cum laude from the Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in 1973.
