JAMES “JIM” SHERIDAN

JAMES “JIM” SHERIDAN of Pickerington, OH died September 3, 2026 at the age of 77. A third-generation funeral director for more than 50 years, he grew up in his family’s business, Sheridan Funeral Home in Lancaster. In 1983, Jim joined Dwayne as a partner at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a certified Funeral Service Practitioner. Jim was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, where he served on its board of directors and legislative and disaster response committees, and as president of the Southeastern Ohio District #13.
