JAMES OATMAN

JAMES OATMAN of Springville, NY died September 6, 2012 at the age of 65. He was a licensed funeral director, president and manager of Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home until 2011. He was employed as an associate at Weismantel Funeral Home from 1970 until 1977. In 1977, he purchased the firm and merged it with Smith Funeral Home, forming the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home. He was a member of the Erie-Niagara Funeral Directors Association, New York State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He graduated from the Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in 1968.
