JAMES DONALD "JIM" LOVETT

JAMES DONALD "JIM" LOVETT of Norman, OK died November 9, 2017at the age of 82. He was a licensed funeral director at the Bahner Funeral Home in Sul-phur, OK and the Vondel L. Smith Mortuary in Oklahoma City, OK. Jim worked alongside his wife, Virginia, in owning and operating Lovett Funeral Service in Mangum, OK from 1969 until 1982. He served as managing director with Guardian/Mayes in Norman, OK from 1983 until his retirement in 1997. A short time after retiring, he accepted a position as a funeral service compliance auditor with the Alderwoods Group. He officially retired from the funeral service industry in 2014. He graduated from the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1961.
