JAMES GARRETT “JIM” LOBB

JAMES GARRETT “JIM” LOBB of Kingwood, WV died December 15, 2024 at the age of 68. A long-time Preston County funeral director, he purchased the former Kiger-Williams Funeral Home in Kingwood in 1988. In 1997 Jim opened the James G. Lobb Funeral Home in Reedsville, the Taylor Funeral Home in Newberg in 1998, and in 2004, along-side his partner, the Davidson-Mancinelli Funeral Home in Morgantown. In 1999, they purchased the former Preston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood, renaming it Sunset Memorial Gardens. Jim retired in 2022 after selling the business with over 35 years of service to Kingwood and the surrounding communities.
