JAMES DANIEL “DANNY” HUTCHESON

JAMES DANIEL “DANNY” HUTCHESON of Buchanan, GA, died November 6, 2023 at the age of 64. A funeral director and embalmer, he and his wife, Patty Hutcheson established Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory in Buchanan in 1983, opening a second location in 2013 in Temple. Danny was elected coroner of Haralson County in 2014 and served four terms in that capacity. A 1982 graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, he was a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Inc for twenty-six years, where he earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and served on the board of trustees for six years as well as president for two years. Danny was also a member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers, National Funeral Directors Association, Cremation Association of North America, and the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, where he served as president in 1999.
