HUBERT PAUL COMPTON

HUBERT PAUL COMPTON of Huntington, WV died August 17, 2023 at the age of 77.  A funeral director for over fifty years, he served his apprenticeship at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in Morgantown.  Compton joined the John Lohr Funeral Home in Elkins before moving to Huntington in 1971 to work at Chapman’s Mortuary until 1993, when he went to work for the Reger Funeral Home until his retirement in 2020. A 1969 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association
