HENRY J. "JACK" SCHELLHAAS

HENRY J. "JACK" SCHELLHAAS IV of Richland Township, PA died June 6, 2013 at the age of 91. He was a fourth generation funeral director, working alongside his two brothers, Charles and Robert at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc, which was established by his great-grandfather, Henry J. Schellhaas in 1855. He took over operation of the firm after his father died, and together, the three brothers closed the North Side funeral home, and opened a firm in West View in 1948, followed by a location in Bakerstown in 1971. Another location is planned for this year in Franklin Park. He semi-retired in 1990, still working summers. He graduated from the Cleveland College of Embalming in 1941.
