HARVEY ALLEN "H.A." ROBERSON

HARVEY ALLEN "H.A." ROBERSON of Bethany, MO died February 23, 2020 at the age of 87. A licensed third generation funeral director and embalmer for over 61 years, he served his apprenticeship with his father, Orris Lee Roberson at the Roberson Funeral Home in Jamesport. He worked alongside his wife, Suzanne for 40 years, growing a fourth generation family business. In 1959, they purchased the Gromer Funeral Home in Pattonsburg and continued to expand their services into Bethany and Gilman City with the purchase of the Haas Funeral Home in 1967. A partnership was formed with the Noble family and they began operating the Noble-Roberson Funeral Home in New Hampton. After retiring in 1994, he continued to remain active in the funeral home until his health failed. A graduate of the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, where he served as president from 1987-1988 and bestowed the Robert Knell Leadership Award as well as the Sam Walton Business Leadership Award.
