HARVEY HAMILTON LEAVITT, III

HARVEY HAMILTON LEAVITT, III of Wadesboro, NC died October 31, 2022 at the age of 63. He joined his father in the family business, Leavitt Funeral Home, which was founded by his grandfather, Harvey H. Leavitt in 1914. A 1982 graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, past president of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association and the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service, a member of the Cemetery Funds of North Carolina, serving with the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. Leavitt mentored many aspiring funeral directors through his career in funeral service.
