GROOME MEARS

GROOME MEARS JR., of Lewes, DE died July 30, 2012 at the age of 87. He began working for the Mealey and Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes in Wil-mington before opening his own funeral home in Middletown in 1947. He owned the firm until retiring in 1992. Since 1998, he had been on staff at Parsell Funeral Homes in Lewes. He was a graduate of the Eckels College of Embalming.
