GREGORY “GREG” DAVID RUSSELL

GREGORY “GREG” DAVID RUSSELL of St. Thomas, MO died April 18, 2022 at the age of 66. A licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 45 years, he operated Russell Colonial Funeral Home alongside his parents. Russell started St. Clair Monument Company and Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery. A 1977 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, he received his Certified Funeral Service Professional designation and his Certified Preplanning consultant designation from the National Funeral Directors Association. In 2018 Russell received recognition for 40 years of dedicated service to the funeral profession at the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers convention, which he was a member and served as president from 1994-1995. He was instrumental in purchasing the association building and was the public information officer during the Hardin Cemetery disaster.
