GEORGE EMERSON RAY

GEORGE EMERSON RAY of Philadelphia, PA died April 14, 2015 at the age of 94. In 1951, he and his wife, the late Deso Collins Ray established Ray Funeral Home Inc, where he worked as a licensed funeral director. He was previously employed with the North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company before serving his apprenticeship with the George Stanton Funeral Home. A graduate of Eckels College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, and the Quaker City Funeral Directors Association, where he served as president.
