GEORGE LESICKO

GEORGE LESICKO of New Douglas, IL died October 18, 2021 at the age of 91. A licensed funeral director and embalmer for fifty years, he was the owner and operator of Lesicko Funeral Home, which he purchased alongside his wife, Clara in 1961. They were also pioneers in EMT service receiving their training while operating Lesicko Ambulance Service from 1961 to 1976. A 1953 graduate of the College of Mortuary Science in St. Louis, he served as past deputy coroner for Madison County, was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Funeral Directors Association, and was past president of the Madison County Funeral Directors Association.
