G. BRIAN ROBERTS

G. BRIAN ROBERTS of Syracuse, NY died March 21, 2021 at the age of 77. A third-generation funeral director, he began working alongside his father at the George J. Roberts & Sons Funeral Home at a young age. He later became president of the firm as well as the Bury and Roberts Funeral Home. In the mid-1990s, Roberts built the Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home in Amherst. He continued to assist the funeral home upon his retirement. A 1968 graduate of the Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science, he received the Certificate of Merit from the New York State Funeral Directors Association, where he was a member. Roberts was past president of the Erie Niagara Funeral Directors Association and the National Selected Morticians, now the Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
