EUGENE J. SUJKOWSKI

EUGENE J. SUJKOWSKI JR of Perrysburg Township, OH died March 31, 2014 at the age of 74. He was a fourth generation funeral director and embalmer for 40 years at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford which he purchased alongside his wife, Marcia in 1976. During this time, he also worked at his family's funeral home, which was established by his great-grandfather, William K. Sujkowski in 1888. He became co-owner, along with his brother Bill, after the passing of their father in 1978. In 1980, the business moved to its new location on Airport Hwy. He semi-retired in 2005 from the Toledo location and proudly worked alongside his sons at the Rossford location until the very end. He was past president of the Northwest Ohio Funeral Directors Association, a member and past president of the Ohio Embalmers Association, and member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1962.
