ELLIOT R. FUTRELL

ELLIOT R. FUTRELL of Goldsboro, NC died February 14, 2023 at the age of 81. A licensed funeral director and embalmer, he was the former owner of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Inc in Durham. Futrell founded and operated the Futrell Funeral Service, Inc in Goldsboro, and Princeton and at Yelverton-Futrell Funeral Service in Fremont until 1981. He was a partner at Evergreen Funeral Home, Cemetery & Cremation and All Memorial Stone Company. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Futrell served on the North Carolina State Board of Funeral Service in Raleigh, where he served as president in both 1989 and 1998.
