EDWARD A PELCZAR

EDWARD A. PELCZAR of Newmarket, NH died January 7, 2021 at the age of 72. A licensed funeral director and embalmer, he began working at the Brisson & Kent Funeral Home in Newmarket in 1971 and in 1986 he purchased it from Roy Kent. Pelczar continued to own and operate the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home alongside his wife, Helen, who was the part-time book keeper. Shortly after relocating the funeral home in 1999, their son Michael Pelczar joined the business as a licensed funeral director. Edward sold the funeral home to Michael in 2018. A1975 graduate of the New England Institute of Mortuary Science, he served as the former chairman of the town of Newmarket Cemetery Trustees, was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and served as a member and past president of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association.
